I adore Celine, especially their accessories and handbags. Their style is really understated yet sophisticated, and it reminds me of Hermes in several respects. Even so, Celine is a little more stylish than Hermes (do you still have those baggage totes? It always made me think of this face ('_'). Nevertheless, I now own a Micro Belt Bag (reviewed here) and a Celine wallet (reviewed here). I'm going to evaluate this little Trotteur crossbody purse (similar here), which is the only other Celine I own, today.

Buying this purse was undoubtedly an impulsive and unexpected purchase. I guess I was feeling a little Celine-poor as I had just sold my Celine box and Celine triple bag. I simply really wanted something basic but not too basic. Note that I sold the Celine Box bag because I felt the smooth leather on the Celine trio a bit too delicate for daily usage, and the bag was too large and hefty for me to use every day with the three leather-lined internal pockets. Nevertheless, since I liked the way it looked and had seen it a few places online, I figured why not?

Although the bag is adorable, its size is a little too tiny for my purposes. This is only useful for times when I know I won't need many items. I normally carry it with just my wallet and phone, as you can see in the picture below. I can usually fit my keys on top of my wallet. If I want sunglasses, I have to hang them from my shirt collar or wear them on my head while I'm not using them. The outside pocket is a little too shallow for my use, but it might hold an iPhone that isn't plus-sized.


The grainy leather exterior of this bag, which I've noticed doesn't show as much wear as the smooth calfskin leather that Celine also uses for this bag, and the inside lined with a smooth, durable leather are both nice features. Additionally, there is an inside pocket, but I find it to be a little too tiny. Another good feature of this is that the straps are adjustable.

The medium-sized one that my friend owns can fit a good deal more. Though, anyway, I kind of wish I had ordered the larger size. Since it's not the most practical, I've been considering selling it for a while, but I still have feelings for it. However, as I mentioned when I purchased my Hermes Lindy, I truly must sell one more purse in order to make good on the even "trade" I made to myself. In your opinion, should I sell my Saint Laurent Monogramme Sac Universite and keep this one, or should I sell this one and maintain the Saint Laurent? Views are requested!
